Renovation Project in Beyoglu/Istanbul
Restoration Year: 2017
Construction area: 150 sqm
Details: This extended renovation project involved the restoration of a historic residential building in Gümüşsuyu–Cihangir, reconstructed from the remaining structure after a fire while remaining faithful to its original architectural character. The building’s wooden elements were carefully restored, and the interior was reinterpreted to support a contemporary, modernist lifestyle rooted in its historical context.
Despite its central urban location, the project aimed to create an atmosphere of island-like tranquility, lightness, and ease, resulting in a calm and private living environment that bridges historical identity with modern living.
