Renovation Project in Beyoglu/Istanbul
Year: 2017
Construction area: 200 sqm
Details: The apartment is located in a listed Art Deco building from the early 20th century in Cihangir. Due to the building’s historic character, the restoration was carried out without changing any of the partition walls. All electrical and plumbing systems were installed on the surface to avoid damage to the structure, while also adding a subtle industrial character to the interior.
The kitchen and bathroom were completely renewed, preserving the existing natural stone surfaces and combining them with simple, timeless materials. The kitchen layout was reorganized to improve functionality. Natural and environmentally friendly materials were used throughout the apartment. Light-colored doors help create a bright atmosphere, while darker floors add contrast. The result is a calm, modern living space that respects the building’s original character and history.
